After the prolonged and most carefully managed and covered-up charade during the illness and death of Sathya Sai Baba, many questions were raised which no Sai follower could answer. Later the revelation that Sai Baba had hoarded and immense stock of valuables in his locked palace rooms, under his bed and in every conceivable nook and cranny, it was clear he was a hoarder.
Naturally, in the repressive pro-guru climate in Indian life and government, only those who were daring voiced their opinions. They were clearly correct in their views. Here are some samples from the on-line discussion on rediff.com:-
